Best part is it’s really easy to workout and in few minutes you will be able to use your Microsoft office as your were using them earlier without any popup or notification. Fix include a three step process. So be with me and perform each part one by one.

• Uninstalling the existing key
• Activate office
• Stop windows updating office

#Step 1: Fix there is problem with your office license by uninstalling the existing Microsoft office license

In the first step, we will go ahead and uninstall the existing Microsoft office product key which is giving you the said error.

Open your command prompt in the administrator mode by clicking on the start menu and type “cmd”

Here choose the option “run as administrator” to open command prompt in admin mode

Now in command prompt, you need to type few command one by one and than hit the enter key after each command. Type:

Note : For Office 2016 users type office16 similarly for office 2019 users type office19

So, type as per the version of Microsoft office you have.

Once you entered the command hit the enter key to process the command as shown :

Now type the following command and hit the enter key:

CSCRIPT OSPP.VBS /DSTATUS

Once the above command is processed. It will show you the current details of your Microsoft office. As shown below :

From the details shown in front of you, you need to noted down the last five characters of your installed Microsoft office product key. Note down the numbers.

Now type:

CSCRIPT OSPP.VBS /UNPKEY:XXXXX

Where XXXXX are the five characters of your installed product key as shown below :

Once you entered the command hit the enter key to process the command.

After hitting the enter key, your Microsoft office product key is successfully uninstalled from your system. Hence, step 1 is complete

#Step 2: To fix there is a problem with your office license by activating office

Now once step 1 is completed, our second step is to install the new product key for your office as existing product is uninstalled due to error on the product key.

Now, click here to open the Microsoft office activation program website so that you can download the program to get the office product key as shown below:

In the above website, click on the “Download” button to download the office activation program.

Once the program is download you may get an error saying “file may be dangerous” as shown below :

but don’t worry just choose the option “Keep” as the file is completely safe. I have already tested it myself.

Now our next step is to unzip the program as it’s in the zip file. To unzip simply open the downloaded file and copy the folder inside it and paste in your desktop.

Note: Before unzipping the file, please turn off your antivirus protection else the file may be deleted by your antivirus.

Now once the file is unzipped, open the folder and run the program named “kms tools” as shown below:

Now, if you get an error message, ignore it and click on “More info” and than choose “run anyway”

Now, this is how the kms tool will start.

Now in the kms tools interface you will find different products option to choose from. From the available options you need to choose or click on very first option which is “AAct portable”

Once you choose the option, another window will open and showing you 4 options to choose from.
Here, we need to choose “Office activation” as shown below :

Once you click on the “office activation” kms tool will start its work and activate your office licence within few seconds.

Note : To make the tool works, make sure you are connected to the internet.

#Step 3: To fix There is a problem with your office license by turning off Office Updates

Now, we have done with two steps as shown above. Now, the third step is to turn off windows updates for Microsoft office, it’s because it’s office updates which is causing the error “there is a problem with your office licence” & “Your License isn’t Genuine and you May be a Victim of Software Counterfeiting” or “there’s a problem with your office license”

Now, in order to turn off updates from Microsoft office, open your settings menu and choose “Update and security”

In update and security, choose “Windows update” option from the left pane and click on “advanced options” as shown below :

Now in order to turn off windows updates for Microsoft office, toggle off the option “Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update window”

This way, you have turned off the windows updates from Microsoft office.
